Mycoplasma bovis, M. bovigenitalium AND M. dispar AS BOVINE PATHOGENS: BRIEF CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PATHOGENS (review)

چکیده
The cattle mycoplasmas are widespread throughout the world (A.M. Parker et al., 2018; M. Abed Alhussen 2020). This review presents data on epidemiology and diagnosis of mycoplasmosis in caused by M. bovis, bovigenitalium, dispar. Mycoplasmas can cause economically important diseases cattle, including mastitis, arthritis, keratoconjunctivitis, otitis media, pneumonia, reproductive disorders (R.A.J. Nicholas 2008; F.P. Maunsell 2011). characterized a size up to 150 μm, small genome (0.58-1.38 million base pairs) low G-C composition (23-40 %) absence cell wall which determines their polymorphism resistance antibiotics, influencing synthesis bacterial P. Vos Mycoplasma surface antigens highly variable both vitro vivo, leads significant variability isolates (M.A. Rasheed 2017). They also play an role overcoming hostâs immune system. In addition, some these involved adhesion host cells (Y. Guo After adhesion, many produce variety products that damage enhance pathogenesis (L.A. Khan 2005). form biofilms increase drying out heat stress (L. McAuliffe 2006; F. Gomes 2016). Moreover, invasion intracellular survival contributes preservation spread organism (J. Van der Merwe 2010). incubation period for mycoplasma infection depends factors, i.e., infectious dose, presence associated infections, conditions keeping animals herd state (M.J. Calcutt 2018). Sick source infection, because they shed pathogen with nasal discharge sperm several months sometimes years (K.A. Clothier 2010; V. Punyapornwithaya It should be noted at temperatures, remain viable long time: deeply frozen semen, (A. However, have limitations. Cultivation requires complex medium, special equipment technical skills (R.A.J. M.J. A.M. Mycoplasma bovis and bacterial pathogens in the bovine respiratory tract
Bovine respiratory disease caused by Mycoplasma bovis is a major health problem of cattle worldwide. It inflicts considerable financial losses on beef herds and is the most common cause of mortality in dairy cattle. Bacteriological examination of 35 nasal cavity samples from calves younger than three months of age identified Mycoplasma bovis in eight (22.9%) samples. These cattle were followed ...
متن کاملCorrection: Development and Host Compatibility of Plasmids for Two Important Ruminant Pathogens, Mycoplasma bovis and Mycoplasma agalactiae
Mycoplasma bovis is a cause of pneumonia, mastitis, arthritis and otitis media in cattle throughout the world. However, despite its clinical significance, there is a paucity of tools to genetically manipulate it, impeding our capacity to further explore the molecular basis of its virulence. To address this limitation, we developed a series of homologous and heterologous replicable plasmids from...
متن کاملSusceptibilities of Mycoplasma bovis, Mycoplasma dispar, and Ureaplasma diversum strains to antimicrobial agents in vitro.
The purpose of this study was to determine the susceptibility of various strains of Mycoplasma bovis, Mycoplasma dispar, and Ureaplasma diversum, which are prevalent causes of pneumonia in calves, to 16 antimicrobial agents in vitro. The MICs of the antimicrobial agents were determined by a serial broth dilution method for 16 field strains and the type strain of M. bovis, for 19 field strains a...
متن کاملMycoplasma detection by triplex real-time PCR in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid from bovine respiratory disease complex cases
BACKGROUND In this study we evaluated the RespoCheck Mycoplasma triplex real-time PCR for the detection in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) of Mycoplasma (M.) dispar, M. bovis and M. bovirhinis, all three associated with bovine respiratory disease (BRD). Primers and probes of the RespoCheck Mycoplasma triplex real-time PCR are based on the V3/V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene of the three Mycop...
متن کاملExperimental mycoplasma mastitis in mice.
Thirteen strains of mycoplasma representing six different species, Acholeplasma laidlawii, Mycoplasma dispar, M. bovirhinis, M. bovigenitalium, M. agalactiae subsp. bovis, and M. mycoides subsp. mycoides, were inoculated into the mammary glands of mice, and the number of mycoplasmas present in the glands three days after inoculation was determined. The predominant response included involution o...
